What’s the Appointment Process?

Appointment Time: 3 - 3.5 hours

Pain level: None - Mild

Anesthetics: Topical Numbing

STEP 1 - Consultation

Time: 15 - 30 mins

I will first go over the appointment process and answer any questions or concerns. Then we will discuss what your beauty goals are, the color that best suits you and your desired shape. Afterwards, we will take before photos and videos.

STEP 2 - Pre-Draw

Time: 45 mins - 1.5 hours

The pre-draw is where I draw the new shape with make up. We will start with one brow first and make as many tweaks as needed to find the perfect shape. Only once the first brow is approved, we will work on the second brow. By taking precise measurements, I ensure the brows are as symmetrical as possible. We will not move on to the next step until you approve and are 100% satisfied with the new shape.

STEP 3 - Tattoo Procedure: Outline

Time: 15 mins

The outline is the first step of the tattoo procedure. Without numbing, I will tattoo the outline of the new shape. Don’t worry, the pain is none to minimal. Afterwards, I will apply numbing for 10 minutes before starting the shading.

STEP 4 - Tattoo Procedure: Shading

Time: 1 - 1.5 hours

To complete the brows, I shade 3 - 4 layers inside the outline. I re-apply numbing throughout the procedure to ensure as much comfort as possible.

STEP 5 - Post Procedure

Time: 10 mins

Once the brows are complete and you are happy with the results, I will go over the “what to expect” and the aftercare. You’ll receive an aftercare sheet and aftercare kit including the ointment, q-tip, etc. to take home. Once we take after photos and videos, your appointment will be complete and I will see you at your touch up!

Touch Up Appointment

Time: 1 - 2 hours

The first touch up appointment is required 1 - 3 months from your first session. The touch up appointment is what we call the “perfecting appointment”. It is not uncommon for the brows to heal patchy, one tail healed shorter than the other, etc. Everyone heals differently. Do not worry if that happens, it will be addressed and fixed during this appointment. We will also decide if you would like to to keep the natural look or go for a bolder look. After your first touch up, annual touch ups are recommended every 12 - 18 months.

Pre-Appointment Care

1 Month Preparation

• No botox in the forehead area

• Discontinue retinol/vitamin a product and active skin care (ex. anti-aging, etc.)

2 Week Preparation

• Avoid facials and facial oils

1 Week Preparation

• Avoid excessive sun exposure

24 Hour Preparation

• No caffeine, alcohol or blood thinners (ex. coffee, caffeinated tea, pain killers)

• If you are oily, please exfoliate before your appointment

• Do not exercise the day of your appointment

• Minimize your water intake 3 hours before your appointment

Post-Appointment Aftercare

• Apply a very thin layer of ointment on the brows twice a day using a q-tip starting from the 4th day until all the scabs fall off

• Do not apply make up on the brows until all the scabs fall off

• Do not itch, pick, or pull the scabs - they will fall on its own

For 7 days

• Do not get the brows wet

• No sweating or working out

• No excessive sun exposure

• After 7 days, you can get them wet, but pat dry the brows - do not rub

What to Expect

• Immediately after the procedure, brows will look dark and bold

• Once healed the brows with lighten up 20 - 30% and soften up

• The next few days, the brows will oxidize, darken, and start to scab

• You will scab for about 10 - 14 days

• After the scabs fall off, the brows will seem light (and sometimes even non-existent), but that is temporary. The color will settle and continue to darken for the next 2 weeks.

• If this is your first appointment, you can expect the brows to be light and patchy since all new set of brows takes 2 sessions. The first touch up should be 1 - 3 months from the initial session.
